Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing, accessing, or using the Dissiq Chrome extension ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by the Dissiq author (an individual creator based in China) ("Dissiq", "we", "our", "us"). For any inquiry, contact support_dissiq@163.com.

2. Description of Service

Dissiq is a Chrome browser extension that helps content creators analyze publicly visible video content across supported platforms (YouTube, Bilibili) by:

• Reading metadata that the user is already viewing in their browser
• Generating AI-powered breakdowns (hook structure, content beats, viral patterns) using third-party AI models
• Optionally transcribing audio via the OpenAI Whisper API
• Storing analyses locally in the user's browser for personal reference

Dissiq is an analysis tool. Dissiq does not download, redistribute, or store source video files.

3. AI Provider Disclosure

Dissiq integrates with third-party large language model APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and DeepSeek to power its analysis features. Dissiq is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Google, Bilibili, or any AI model creator or video platform.

Users provide their own API key (BYOK), billed directly by their chosen provider. We do not store, log, or retain user API keys on our servers — keys are stored locally in the user's Chrome storage and used only to make direct API calls from the user's browser.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate, request, or attempt to generate sexually explicit, NSFW, or pornographic content of any kind
• Create deepfakes, face-swap content, or other media intended to impersonate real people
• Process content you do not own or have rights to analyze in violation of source platform Terms of Service
• Attempt to download, redistribute, or commercially repackage video content from supported platforms
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service except where permitted by applicable law
• Bypass, disable, or interfere with security features or rate limits
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activity

We reserve the right to terminate access for violations.

5. Subscription, Pricing, and Refunds

Free Service

Dissiq is provided free of charge. All features — video breakdown (50/day), comment analysis (30/day), AI content generation, competitor tracker, and notebook with Markdown export — are available without payment. You only pay your own AI provider for the API calls the extension makes on your behalf (typically under $0.0001 per breakdown).

We reserve the right to introduce paid tiers in the future. Any such change would be communicated in advance and would not retroactively affect existing usage.

6. Privacy and Data

The Service stores breakdowns, notebooks, and settings in your browser's local storage only. We do not operate user accounts or sync user-generated content to a server.

The text content of the page being analyzed is sent to the user's configured AI provider (DeepSeek / OpenAI / Qwen / Ollama / etc.) for processing using the user's own API key. We do not log, store, or proxy this content on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its source code, design, documentation, and branding, is owned by Dissiq and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

User-generated content (your saved breakdowns, notebooks, tags) belongs to you. You retain all rights to content you create using the Service.

9. Third-Party Platforms

Dissiq reads metadata from third-party video platforms (YouTube, Bilibili). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own Terms of Service. Dissiq is not responsible for changes to those platforms' interfaces or policies that affect Service functionality.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE AI ANALYSIS RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR FIT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

AI-generated analysis is provided as creative inspiration, not as authoritative advice. Users are responsible for verifying any insights before acting on them.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID BY THE USER IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination:

• The user must uninstall the extension
• All locally stored data may be removed by the user following the steps in our Privacy Policy

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via an updated "Last Updated" date on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator resides (currently the People's Republic of China), without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes are resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

For users in the European Union and other jurisdictions with applicable consumer protection laws, statutory rights are not affected by these Terms.
